About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled, Hands-on and motivated Lead Carpenter to join our growing team. You will be a key player in bringing our clients' visions to life, leading projects from start to finish while also contributing your carpentry skills on the job site.


Responsibilities:

  • Carpentry: Perform skilled carpentry work, including framing, finish carpentry, trim installation, and other related tasks. Maintain a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
  • Project Management: Oversee site management and supervise trades and subs.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, provide updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction. 
  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines.
  • Material Procurement: Order and manage building materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Safety: Enforce job site safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve project challenges, ensuring smooth and efficient project execution.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to other carpenters and laborers on the job site.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a lead carpenter in residential construction.
  • Proven experience in project management, including scheduling and subcontractor management.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and construction best practices.
  • Excellent carpentry skills, including framing, finish carpentry, and trim installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. 
  • OSHA certification preferred.

Work Context

  • Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and other contaminants.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
  • Noise level is generally loud.
  • Must be able to quickly move arms and legs.
  • Excellent stamina is required.


Special Requirements

  • Must maintain a phone capable of text messaging and have it on their person at all times in functioning condition.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment and provide employer with a good driving record.
  • Must maintain reliable method of transportation pickup truck preferred.
